Two-piece wedding dress of ivory silk satin, lined with brown silk taffeta. Bodice has stiffened high collar, which fastens center back with hook/eyes (eyes missing). Center front closure with hooks and eyes. Front and back covered with pleated panels of ivory silk chiffon. Pleated bias-cut satin belt, fastening center back with hook/eyes; internal satin waistband with two hooks to hold skirt. Lining boned center back, center front, and side back. Long gigot sleeves, ruched at sleeve head and partially lined with light buckram; large wing cuffs of satin and buckram. Gored skirt on satin waistband, gauged around center back closure. Hem interlined with buckram, faced with ivory silk velvet band and scalloped ivory moiré flounce. No train. |
