| Description | Wedding dress of purple silk taffeta, lined with brown cotton twill. Standing collar with applied layers; fringed half-bows below it at sides of center front buttoning closure and at center back. Proper right side of front overskirt panel gathers to piped seam and flat panel with half-bows on it; proper left is loose, gathered up to button on hip, trimmed with taffeta strips (as is panel on left side, which is in a pointed shape). Trained underskirt has a pleated ruffle. Hem faced with glazed dark brown cotton with a diamond pattern pressed into it and a dust ruffle. Three-quarter-length sleeves have a knife-pleated ruffle, with a band and faux-bow covering the seam. |
